To what extent are you influenced by the so-called "influencers"? They are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. They make regular posts about that topic online and generate large followings of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views. It goes without saying that this is a highly profitable activity. We had a class discussion with our third graders on that topic. Interestingly enough, the majority of the students were critical of influencers and claimed that they are NOT influenced by such people, whose main goal is to make money. Nonethless, it seems that they are here to stay. Hence, the responsibility of dismissing them lies with each one of us...
